Hydrogen sulfide

Hydrogen sulfide is a constituent of crude petroleum and natural gas; it is also released from decomposing waste in landfills and sewers, and from industrial facilities. Hydrogen sulfide has a rotten egg odor. It can irritate the eyes and respiratory system.
